Discover Collection Expands: Flagship Ras Amud Resort in Oman and Regenerative Lodges in Kenya

Discover Collection, a newly launched global hotel brand redefining luxury hospitality, is developing its flagship resort in the Sultanate of Oman while simultaneously advancing high-impact sustainable projects in Kenya’s Amboseli and Maasai Mara regions.

The Omani project, Discover Collection Ras Amud, is currently under construction in the breathtaking village of Khab Alayn in Khasab, on the Musandam Peninsula. Set on a dramatic cape overlooking the tranquil waters of the Sea of Oman, the resort will feature around 30 private chalets, each designed with elevated luxury and equipped with its own pool. The property promises unrivaled serenity and exclusivity, appealing primarily to high-profile celebrities and affluent guests.

Unlike conventional hotels, Discover Collection operates on a membership-only model—welcoming a limited number of elite travelers who seek privacy, seclusion, and transformative experiences. Founded by Bernhard “BB” Bohnenberger, former president of Six Senses, in partnership with Discovery Land Company, the U.S.-based luxury residential developer, the brand represents a new generation of experiential hospitality rooted in purpose and sustainability.

Supported by the Omani government for its contribution to Musandam’s broader economic development, the Ras Amud project recently welcomed senior ministers and officials who toured the site. The resort is being built by Intermass Engineering & Contracting Co. LLC (UAE) and is slated for completion by late 2025.

“Every Discover Collection destination—from retreats and sanctuaries to vibrant suites—is handpicked to create a sense of magic and transformation,” the company notes. “We believe curiosity leads to unforgettable adventures and purposeful travel. Communities are at the heart of everything we do, ensuring that we always give back.”

Expansion into Africa: Kenya’s Regenerative Lodges

Beyond the Arabian Peninsula, Discover Collection is also bringing its philosophy of regenerative luxury to Africa. In Kenya, the brand is developing two lodges: one within the Kitenden Conservancy near Amboseli National Park, and another at Il Ngwesi Conservancy, part of the Maasai Mara ecosystem.

The Amboseli lodge will form part of a 30,000-acre protected area in collaboration with Conservation Equity Limited, with a commitment to keeping 100% of profits in Kenya for reinvestment in conservation and community development. Local Maasai communities will benefit directly through employment, revenue-sharing, and land title deed support for thousands of residents.

A New Chapter for Conscious Luxury

Together, Ras Amud in Oman and the Kenyan lodges embody Discover Collection’s promise: ultra-luxury hospitality with a conscience. Each project blends refined design with environmental stewardship and community partnership, positioning the brand as one of the most intriguing new entrants in global high-end travel.

As Discover Collection prepares to debut its first properties between late 2025 and 2026, it signals a quiet revolution in hospitality—one where exclusivity meets authenticity, and indulgence exists in harmony with purpose.
