Pet-Friendly Private Jet Travel Expands with VistaJet’s VistaPet Program

Pet-friendly private jet travel is reaching new heights this summer as VistaJet continues to grow its exclusive VistaPet program, designed to pamper pets and their owners at 45,000 feet. In 2024, the global private aviation company saw a 17% increase in flight traffic, with more travelers flying with their furry (or scaly) companions.

Top summer destinations for jet-setting pets included London, New York, and Nice, with VistaJet offering tailored luxury experiences for animals and humans alike. Since launching VistaPet in 2019, the company has gone beyond traditional pet accommodations, crafting thoughtful, vet-approved solutions for air travel with animals.

Every VistaJet flight now includes the VistaPet Pochette—a travel bag with organic treats, water-free shampoos, soothing wipes, and toys to keep pets entertained throughout the journey. In addition to creature comforts, the service features custom in-flight dining designed by pet nutritionists. Options include fresh meat and fish or healthy veggie and rice combinations, ensuring pets stay hydrated and nourished mid-air.

For pets that are new or nervous flyers, VistaJet offers Fear of Flying courses in partnership with The Dog House. These specially developed sessions aim to ease anxiety and make air travel smoother for everyone on board.

Data from VistaJet shows that dogs remain the most frequent animal passengers, with cats following behind. But some of the company’s most unique travelers in 2024 included a blue-tongued skink and a Sulcata tortoise, both of whom reportedly adapted well to the skies.

The luxury doesn’t stop once the wheels touch down. VistaJet’s Private World offers a carefully curated list of pet-friendly destinations around the globe. With a network of over 600 partners, VistaJet helps its members access exclusive hotels, villas, yacht charters, and more, all accommodating four-legged companions.

The rising demand for high-end pet travel aligns with broader market trends. According to Euromonitor International, Asia Pacific’s pet care industry reached $29 billion in 2024 and is expected to grow 4% annually through 2029. That growth outpaces both North America and Western Europe, indicating a global shift toward premium animal care and services.

As more people choose to travel with their pets, VistaJet’s VistaPet program shows how luxury aviation is adapting. From gourmet meals to anxiety-reducing tools, and even VIP access to pet-friendly properties, flying with pets has never been so refined.
