Nordica to Start Flights Between Tallinn and Odessa

Estonian airline Nordica is set to launch scheduled service between Tallinn and Pulkovo Airport in St. Petersburg on May 15, 2017. The route will be operated with Bombardier CRJ900 aircraft, offering seating for up to 88 passengers, and will include up to 13 weekly flights. The journey time is approximately 50 minutes, and the service will operate in codeshare with LOT Polish Airlines.

“This long-anticipated connection is very welcome at Pulkovo Airport,” said Evgeniy Ilyin, Chief Commercial Officer of Northern Capital Gateway LLC, the company managing Pulkovo. “Tallinn has always been a popular destination for St. Petersburg residents, both for tourism and business, and also serves as a convenient transit point for further travel.”

Nordica’s Chief Commercial Officer Kristel Penu echoed the enthusiasm, stating: “This route has been eagerly awaited by both business and leisure travelers. In addition, it provides excellent transit opportunities through Tallinn to many of our other destinations, including Munich, Kiev, Oslo, Stockholm, Vilnius, Brussels, Nice, Vienna, Berlin, Hamburg, Amsterdam, Split, Rijeka, Trondheim, Odessa, and more.”

Nordica currently offers the widest range of direct flights from Tallinn to various European cities. Onboard the Tallinn–St. Petersburg route, passengers will enjoy complimentary coffee, tea, water, newspapers, Miles&More bonus points, and free checked luggage included with all ticket classes.

The launch of this route marks the return of direct air service between St. Petersburg and Tallinn, which had been discontinued since fall 2015, when the previous operator, Estonian Air, ceased operations.
