What Are Blackout Dates?

Blackout dates are dates identified by the airline that are exempted from special flight promotions. For example, special sale fares are not available for flying during high-peak season or holidays. Blackout dates also apply for redeeming specific airline rewards, such as exchanging your earned mileage for a free flight.
