LEVEL has announced a new long-haul route connecting Barcelona and Lima, marking a further expansion of its South American network and strengthening intercontinental connectivity from Barcelona–El Prat Airport.
The new service is scheduled to launch on 3 June 2026 and will operate three times a week, on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. LEVEL will be the only airline offering direct, nonstop flights on the route, reinforcing its position as the leading long-haul operator at Barcelona–El Prat Airport.
According to the airline, flight schedules have been designed to optimise onward connections on both sides of the Atlantic, supporting travel flows within Europe and the Americas. LEVEL cited growing demand across leisure, business, and visiting-friends-and-relatives segments between Spain and Peru as a key factor behind the route launch.
The Barcelona–Lima service will be operated using Airbus A330-200 aircraft, configured with Premium Economy and Economy cabins. Onboard offerings will include in-flight entertainment, messaging-enabled Wi-Fi, and the airline’s “Fly Your Way” personalised service model, which allows passengers to tailor their travel experience. Introductory fares are set to start from €319 one way.
Beyond point-to-point travel, the route is expected to enhance connectivity through partnerships. Passengers arriving in Lima will have access to onward connections to 17 destinations within Peru, while travellers from Peru will be able to connect via Barcelona to more than 75 destinations across Europe, North Africa and the Middle East through Vueling.
Lima becomes LEVEL’s third destination in South America from Barcelona, joining Buenos Aires and Santiago. The expansion underlines the airline’s strategic focus on Latin America as a core growth market and reflects Barcelona’s increasing role as a long-haul gateway between Europe and the region.
With the addition of the Lima route, LEVEL continues to build scale in its long-haul network while supporting Barcelona’s ambitions to strengthen its position among Europe’s major intercontinental hubs.
