Sunrise Airways is set to expand its operations in the Eastern Caribbean in late 2024, adding new routes to Grenada, St. Vincent, Tortola, and Guadeloupe as part of its ongoing commitment to boosting regional connectivity. This expansion is part of the airline’s One Caribbean initiative, which aims to link island nations across the West Indies and improve travel options within the region.
Beginning in late October 2024, Sunrise Airways will launch its first-ever flights to Grenada, St. Vincent, and Tortola, alongside the introduction of additional connections to and from Guadeloupe. This development follows the airline’s earlier announcement in May 2024, unveiling its inaugural intra-regional flights within the Eastern Caribbean.
Three Phases of Expansion
The Fall 2024 route expansion will be rolled out in three phases, further strengthening the airline’s network:
- Phase I: October 27, 2024
Sunrise Airways will commence flights to Grenada and St. Vincent, as well as new routes to Guadeloupe, starting on October 27. The airline will operate three weekly flights to Grenada, while St. Vincent and Guadeloupe will receive service four times per week. All flights will depart from Antigua, with onward connections available to Dominica, St. Kitts, and St. Lucia. - Phase II: December 2, 2024
On December 2, Sunrise Airways will launch its first-ever flights to Tortola in the British Virgin Islands, with twice-weekly departures from Antigua. These flights will also provide nonstop service between Tortola and Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic, in addition to connections for passengers traveling from Dominica and St. Kitts. - Phase III: December 4, 2024
A new route between Santo Domingo and Pointe-Ã -Pitre in Guadeloupe will be introduced on December 4, with twice-weekly nonstop service connecting these two Caribbean cities.
This latest expansion reaffirms Sunrise Airways’ dedication to improving accessibility within the Caribbean, offering more flight options and seamless connections for travelers across the region. The new routes are expected to enhance tourism and business travel, supporting the continued growth of inter-island connectivity across the Eastern Caribbean.
