Marriott is expanding its presence in North Africa with the debut of its luxury Ritz-Carlton brand in Morocco. The newly opened Ritz-Carlton Rabat, Dar Es Salam welcomes guests in Rabat, the capital of the kingdom, just minutes away from the historic city center.
The hotel’s grand lobby is adorned with mouqarnas, a signature element of Arab-Andalusian architecture from the Almoravid era. The dome features intricate geometric and floral designs, while the walls are decorated with Moroccan “Gebs” frescoes, showcasing the craftsmanship of local artisans. The lobby’s serene ambiance is further enhanced by bonsai trees.
The resort offers 100 rooms and 17 suites, including a 180-square-meter Royal Suite. All accommodations in this palace-like hotel feature private terraces overlooking the pool and gardens.
Spanning 440 hectares, the resort includes four restaurants, a spa, multiple pools, and a fitness center. Guests can also enjoy three golf courses with a total of 45 holes.
For events and meetings, the property boasts a large ballroom with panoramic garden views, natural lighting, and a capacity of up to 400 guests. In addition, there are 2,200 square meters of outdoor MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) space and 454 square meters of indoor event space across three meeting rooms.
Rates for standard rooms this fall start at $400 per night.
