Brussels Airlines to Launch Flights to Montreal

As from the end of March 2020, Brussels Airlines, Belgium’s home carrier will launch seasonal flights to Montreal, i.e. in the summer season (end March to end October), the airline will offer 5 flights per week between Brussels Airport and Montréal–Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport. With the remaining aircraft capacity in winter, Brussels Airlines will also increase its offer to Washington, which will become a year round service as of 20 February, whereas today this is a summer destination only.

Montreal being the most important market in Canada out of Belgium and having a high demand for connections to and from Sub-Saharan Africa via Brussels, Brussels Airlines has decided to launch flights to Montreal, the second most populous municipality in Canada.

“Montreal is a real added value for the Brussels Airlines network. It is a strong market out of Belgium, with over 75,000 potential travelers a year. Montreal is very relevant both for business and leisure travelers, and the appealing destination can easily be stimulated for both individual and group travel. We are looking forward to adding Montreal to our portfolio, ” said Frederic Dechamps, Senior Director Sales Belgium – Brussels Airlines, Lufthansa Group.

Flights leave out of Brussels Airport in the morning and return to Brussels early in the morning, allowing for convenient connections to and from many European destinations and Brussels Airlines’ 17 African destinations.

The new Brussels – Montreal route will be operated with an Airbus A330-300 aircraft, which includes Brussels Airlines’ newly introduced boutique hotel in the sky service in its brand new Business Class, Premium Economy and Economy Class. Passengers can experience Belgian hospitality and a premium culinary experience onboard. A menu crafted every year by a different Belgian Star Chef is available for the enjoyment of Business Class passengers. All guests also have the choice of eight famous Belgian beers as well as Belgian wines, coffee and premium Belgian chocolates.

Brussels Airlines’ new Premium Economy Class offers long haul passengers a quiet, relaxed and comfortable experience with plenty of legroom spacing up to 96cm. Chairs are also equipped with bigger headrests and a generous 40° seat recline that allow for a relaxing sleep. Furthermore, every seat is equipped with its own USB power plug in order to stay productive during their flight.

Tickets can be booked on brusselsairlines.com, the Brussels Airlines ticketing desk or travel agencies.
