The hotel, in the north of the island of Tenerife, has multiple customer awards for quality RIU Hotels & Resorts has reopened the new Riu Garoe, located in northern Tenerife, following its complete refurbishment. The hotel is four-star category and it has 190 spacious, light-filled rooms characterised by a palette of light colours. Each room has its own balcony from which guests can enjoy unbeatable views of the ocean, the mountains and the majestic Mount Teide volcano.
The outdoor areas include a heated pool all year round and a children’s pool, surrounded by 2,800 square metres of magnificent gardens. Martiánez Beach is just two kilometres away, and its 330 metres of black volcanic sand mean it is considered to be one of Tenerife’s most iconic bays. In addition, Riu Garoe offers a new spa with a jet pool, jacuzzi, ice pool, sensory showers, salt sauna, Finnish sauna, and steam room, hotbeds zone, beauty treatment booths and hairdressing all available.
The complex has a main buffet-style restaurant that offers dining with live cooking stations and themed cuisine twice a week. There are also two bars, one of which is by the pool area.
The hotel has been awarded a multitude of prizes selected by customers and for its good environmental practice, such as the TUI Umwelt Champion, which recognises the sustainability of hotels and which Hotel Riu Garoe has won year after year since 2012. It has also been honoured on many occasions with the TUI Holly, which is considered the Oscar of the tourism awards, as well as with the iconic Holiday Check Award and the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence, both of which are voted by customers in recognition of high-quality service.
RIU Hotels & Resorts remains committed to the complete renovation of its entire hotel portfolio, with the aim of offering its customers the highest possible quality and adapting to their needs and requirements. With this latest refurbishment, just one of the four hotels that RIU has on Tenerife remains to be renovated, namely Riu Buena Vista, as Riu Palace Tenerife and Riu Arecas were both given makeovers in 2015.
