We’ve been working closely with Finnair on NDC since it implemented Amadeus Altéa NDC in 2017 to support its digital transformation .
This paved the way for Finnair to directly distribute content to metasearch players and travel retailers, and Finnair piloted the solution with Skyscanner, which allowed travelers to complete their purchase without leaving the platform.
Altéa NDC offers an additional distribution option for travel sellers to integrate Finnair’s flights, seats and ancillaries, while boosting conversion rates for airlines in the increasingly important meta-channel. When it first implemented Altéa NDC, Finnair dramatically increased its conversion rate for 12 straight quarters.
Our latest collaboration – Finnair integrating Altéa NDC with the Amadeus Travel Platform – is a huge step forward in this digital journey. At the flick of a switch, Finnair can automatically integrate its content and fares to Amadeus travel sellers, through NDC connectivity. This will give Finnair the option to open up its NDC offers at a whole new scale and allow Amadeus travel sellers around the world to access and book Finnair’s offers through the ATP, seamlessly. It’s a win-win for everyone.
