From November, it will be possible to fly to Munich with Lufthansa three times a week. It is already the second air service line between Estonia and Germany that the airline operates.
Eero Pärgmäe, commercial director of Tallinn Airport: “Increasing the selection of flight destinations in Germany has been one of our priorities already for a long time, and the new direct route creates good tourism opportunities for Germans to come discover Tallinn and rest of Estonia. Like Frankfurt, also the Munich airport is one of the most important air traffic gateways for transfer flights. For those who are already planning a ski trip or an awesome city break in winter, Munich is a great destination for the holidays,” Pärgmäe said.
Christopher Zimmer, Lufthansa General Manager Sales, Finland & Baltics: “Lufthansa has operated in Estonia already since 1992. During this time, the number of air passengers and demand for a new air service line has constantly increased. In addition to the fact that it is convenient to travel from Munich to Germany and the countries of Southern and Central Europe, it gives a possibility to fly on with Lufthansa to 214 destination in 75 countries.”
The first flight of the air service line Munich – Tallinn by Airbus 319 will depart on November 4th. Flights will take place three times a week: Monday, Thursday and Saturday.
