Miami Executive Airport (TMB), one of the busiest general aviation airports in the U.S., can now welcome international passengers until midnight on the peak days of Thursday through Monday, thanks to a new agreement between the Miami-Dade Aviation Department (MDAD) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
The pilot program, which began on June 6, allows MDAD to reimburse CBP for extended passport screening hours to process international private jet or charter flight passengers entering the U.S. at TMB. As of June 6, the new hours of operation for passport screening at TMB are 11 a.m. to midnight Thursday through Monday, and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday. Previously, the hours of operation were 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day.
“As one of the busiest GA airports in the country and as a reliever airport for Miami International Airport, Miami Executive Airport will now be able to serve its international passengers with greater convenience. We are proud to partner with CBP on this pilot program, which improves Miami-Dade County’s ability to serve as the gateway of the Americas, ” said Lester Sola, MIA Director and CEO.
