Luxottica Group has launched two new colours of Ray-Ban sunglasses exclusive to travel retail. The new twists on the brand’s iconic Aviator and Round Metal styles are now available in travel retail in Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East & Africa and the Americas.
Luxottica said the release, which is being supported by advertising and on-counter communication tools, represented the sunglasses company’s strategy of offering new, exciting and differentiated products in global travel retail.
Luxottica Global Travel Retail Director Enrico Destro commented: “We see a clear demand for this exclusivity in the channel. The story-telling and eye-catching visuals help create additional points of interest and accents instore, which are very important in busy retail environments and allow shoppers to continue their journey with a unique purchase.”
The new twist on the Ray-Ban Aviator Classic Sunglasses (model RB3025 62 917152) (see above) has dark blue, polarised lenses in an exclusive gunmetal frame with Havana temple tips.
The travel retail-exclusive version of the Ray-Ban Round Metal range (model RB3447 50 9171R5) (see below), meanwhile, has a unisex frame with dark blue lenses and a gunmetal frame. It is available in size 50 with adjustable nose pads and thin metal temples with shiny grey Havana end tips.
