Aeroflot has updated its onboard menu for business class passengers. From June 1 to August 31, gourmet dishes created by Kamel Benmamar will be served on Aeroflot flights. Benmamar is the French brand chef at ‘Ryby Net’, one of Arkady Novikov’s most well-known restaurants. Benmamar has worked in Michelin star restaurants across France and in London. For years he created desserts for the Aeroflot business class menu. The new menu also features snacks and main dishes created in accordance with the chef’s own recipes. These include scallops with cucumber and greens with Japanese sauce, shrimps with a mix of fresh vegetables, steak with Filini pasta, sea bass with potatoes and vegetables with herb sauce and other gourmet dishes.
The business class menu was updated in accordance with passengers’ feedback. More vegetables have been added to the menu. Offering a nutritious choice and combination of products remained a priority. Particular attention was paid to the appearance and presentation of dishes.
An important feature of the new business class menu is an expanded range of dishes. Now, on long-haul flights, passengers will be able to choose a hot meal during both meal services. From June 1, the menu is available for passengers flying from Moscow and will gradually be introduced on flights from other airports. Dishes on offer: salmon in creamy sauce with black rice and sweet pepper or lamb in plum sauce with couscous and broccoli.
Aeroflot seeks to provide its passengers a wide choice of dishes. The airline regularly introduces new menus: four times a year for business class, and twice a year for economy class. Leading chefs from Russia and from all over the world take part in creating Aeroflot menus. This approach allows Aeroflot to remain among the global leaders in onboard menu quality and variety.
Aeroflot’s onboard menu has long been one of the airline’s competitive advantages. The company offers passengers varied, high-quality, healthy meals made from natural products. Aeroflot hires the best Russian and foreign chefs to help develop onboard menus. Passengers can choose from 17 types of special meals. Aeroflot achievements regularly receive high international recognition. In 2018, Aeroflot took the award for Best Premium Economy Onboard Catering at the Skytrax World Airline Awards.
