Air France Offers Japanese Menu

Throughout the travel experience, the company endeavours to adapt to the culture, habits and traditions of its international and notably Japanese customers.

A new personalized dining offer

Since March 31, 2019, on board its flights connecting Paris-Charles de Gaulle to Tokyo-Haneda, Air France has been offering a specially designed dining offer for its Japanese customers and all fans of Japanese cuisine.

Available on board the Business cabin, the new Japanese Menu comprises the following-

– A MISO soup,
– three KOBACHI starters,
– a DAINOMONO Japanese hot dish served with a bowl of rice,
– a selection of KONOMONO Japanese pickles,
– a sweet treat.

Certain dishes are presented in specially selected traditional Japanese tableware.

The dishes on the Japanese Menu will be renewed every two months on flights departing from Paris-Charles de Gaulle and monthly on flights departing from Tokyo-Haneda.

Air France celebrates cherry blossom season

An ancient Japanese custom, Hanami is about enjoying the beauty of the cherry blossom every spring.

For this occasion, many surprises await the company’s customers, throughout the day of April 1st, 2019 at Paris-Charles de Gaulle, on departure of flights to Narita (AF276), Osaka (AF292) and Haneda (AF272 and AF274).

At the boarding gates, decorated with posters celebrating Hanami, the multicultural teams will be dressed in traditional costume and will hand out pink sweets to customers. A Furoshiki workshop and a photo session are also planned. On the jetway, agents forming a guard of honour will greet the customers before they board the plane.

The cabins will be decorated in the colours of Hanami and special announcements will be made in Japanese during the flight.

Hanami will continue to be celebrated on posters and decorations in Air France ticket offices and lounges at Paris-Charles de Gaulle until April 15.
