Wizz Air Europe’s fastest growing airline group, announces special fares for WOW Air customers whose flights from or to Reykjavík to Warsaw and London Stansted and London Gatwick were cancelled following WOW Air’s bankruptcy.

Affected WOW Air passengers can take advantage of a special fare with Wizz Air, which operates four flights per week from Reykjavík to London-Luton and Warsaw, of GBP 74.99/EUR 79.99*. This rescue fare is valid for travel up to 10 May 2019 and is subject to availability on each flight. Bookings can be made via Wizz Air’s special rescue fare site at https://wizzair.com/#/rescue until 7 April 2019. Customers will need to provide evidence of their bookings with WOW Air for the London (any airport)/Warsaw routes.

Wizz Air, has a total of more than 525,000 seats on sale on its 10 Reykjavík routes to 6 countries in 2019, which represents a 21% year on year growth.

George Michalopoulos, Wizz Air’s Chief Commercial Officer said: “Wizz Air is pleased to welcome onboard new customers whose flights from Reykjavík to London and Warsaw were cancelled following WOW Air’s bankruptcy, at the special fare of GBP 74.99/EUR 79.99* for the London route while EUR 99.99/PLN 429 for the Warsaw route.  The number of seats at this special rescue fare is limited, but our regular prices on our network of 10 destinations from Reykjavík to 6 countries, including services to London-Luton and Warsaw as well as Budapest Gdansk, Katowice and Vienna are intentionally low every day, allowing ever more customers to enjoy great value and friendly service on board Europe’s fastest growing airline and one of Europe’s youngest fleets.”
