A-ROSA River Cruises has appointed Andre Mahr into the newly created role of director of fleet services. The move is another important step in the cruise lines expansion plans and its commitment to grow and modernise its fleet going forward.
Mahr joins from Carnival Maritime GmbH in Hamburg where he was vice president – marine operations fleet Asia. He will be responsible for all 12 ships in the fleet and will lead the operational and strategic development of A-ROSA’s nautical engineering department, based in Chur, Switzerland.
Mahr will work closely with Matthias Lutter, A-ROSA’s head of new builds who joined in January this year. A key focus for Mahr will be sustainability and looking at innovative methods and products that A-ROSA can develop going forward.
