The leisure airline SunExpress, a joint venture between Lufthansa and Turkish Airlines, has announced that the carrier will fly from Prague to Antalya, a popular summer destination located on the Turkish Riviera. Regular scheduled flights will be offered twice a week during the next summer season effective 11 June 2019. The new route will be operated by B737-800NG featuring 189 seats in Economy Class. Based on airport’s estimates, we expect the new connection to be used by approximately 10 thousand passengers a year in both directions.
“The interest of Czech travellers in flying on holiday to Turkey continues to grow. During the last summer’s months, the number of passengers travelled to Antalya almost doubled. The new regular flights will thus broaden the choice of connections to this popular destination and also provide new options for individual tourism,” said Vaclav Rehor, Chairman of the Prague Airport Board of Directors.
“SunExpress is always looking to expand its network portfolio for both of our bases in Antalya and Izmir; with Prague Airport we have now found an excellent addition to our Antalya route map. We look forward to welcome many Czech holidaymakers to spend their vacation on beaches around Antalya next summer,” said Wilken Bellmann, Head of Network Planning and Scheduling at SunExpress.
