KLM Signs a Codeshare Agreement with Atlantic Airways

KLM and Atlantic Airways, the national airline of the Faroe Islands, today announced that they have signed a code-share agreement. This agreement offers a network extension for both companies.

The two airlines now offer joint flights to the Faroe Islands. Thanks to this new agreement, customers from both KLM and Atlantic Airways will have access to more destinations from 24 January 2019.

KLM gives a KL code to flights from Atlantic Airways to Europe. This allows passengers from all over the world to transfer to Copenhagen, Edinburgh, Bilund or Bergen and travel on the same ticket to Vágar in the Faroe Islands without having to re-check their baggage.

With effect from 24 January, the cooperation includes the following routes:

  • Vágar – Copenhagen (CPH),
  • Vágar – Mons (BGO)
  • Vágar – Bilund (BLL)
  • Vágar – Edinburgh (EDI)
