Edelweiss Expands its Fleet

Edelweiss is expanding its fleet and will operate an additional short-haul aircraft of the type Airbus A320 as of spring 2019. The new addition will be used to support the further selective expansion of the Edelweiss flight programme. It will also serve as an operational reserve aircraft so as to further enhance flight schedule stability. This expansion brings the Edelweiss fleet total to 16 aircraft (10 Airbus A320s, 2 Airbus A330s and 4 Airbus A340s).

More flights to Norway and Greece in summer 2019

Edelweiss is introducing scheduled flights to Tromsø (Norway). So far, flights to this holiday destination have been available exclusively as full charters in winter. Next summer, Edelweiss will add a direct scheduled flight to Tromsø, available in July and August 2019. Flights to Tromsø will depart on Saturdays and can be booked now at flyedelweiss.com. Summer 2019 will also see an expansion of Edelweiss flight destinations in Greece: in collaboration with TUI Suisse, the airline will operate one weekly flight to Araxos (Patras) in the northern Peloponnese. Flights to Araxos will be operated in July and August 2019 and can be booked exclusively via TUI Suisse. This addition brings the total number of destinations in the Edelweiss route network to 71.
