Newton Vineyard takes part in the Journées Particulières, a bi-annual event by the French luxury group LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, created in 2011 at the initiative of Antoine Arnault. This year’s edition of Les Journées Particulières will run from October 12th to 14th, welcoming the public on four continents, and stretching to the United States for the first time.
The Journées Particulières are characterized by the discovery of heritage and savoir faire. For the occasion, Newton – part of the LVMH group – has designed a 2-hour visit, including a vineyard tour. Guided by Jean-Baptiste Rivail, Estate Director, and Mayacamas Olds, Head of Viticulture, visitors will discover the complexity and diversity of the Spring Mountain terroirs and experience a range tasting of Newton wines from oak barrels with Winemaker Alberto Bianchi.
During a comprehensive visit explaining the art of viticulture and winemaking, the guests will have the chance to admire Newton’s remarkable French gardens and walk through some of the vineyards, designed to enhance the natural environment of this Spring Mountain estate, surrounded by the scent of the herbs and roses emanating from the rooftop gardens, hearing the hummingbirds flying between the Tuscan cypresses pointing at the horizon, and finally strolling in the hidden labyrinth of cellars spanning vertical levels and avenues, before tasting the true essence of Newton’s wines.
