Ekaterinburg Airport Develops Cooperation with China

Koltsovo International Airport (a part of Airports of Regions) takes part in China Outbound Travel & Tourism Market, an exhibition held in Beijing on 16 to 18 April.

At this event, Ekaterinburg is represented by Koltsovo International Airport, Angelo Hotel and travel agencies from Ekaterinburg, which organize trips for Chinese citizens. The Ekaterinburg stand is called “Ural: A New View of Russia”. The main goal of the exhibition is to draw the attention of the Chinese tourist industry to Russian cities that can become an alternative to travelling to Moscow and St. Petersburg.

Koltsovo Airport does its best for convenience of tourists from China: navigation in Chinese is installed in the airport, a menu in Chinese is offered in the cafe and restaurants in the international flight area. The Koltsovo’s principal carrier, Ural Airlines, provides transfer services from China to the cities of Europe. Efforts made by Koltsovo towards China yield results: in 2017, the passenger traffic at the Ekaterinburg airport in the Chinese directions grew by 80% and made about 140 thousand passengers.

China Outbound Travel & Tourism Market is designed to tell the participants of China’s tourism market about new and interesting places to travel. The exhibition is attended by the tourism market participants from all over the world.
