Iberostar Hotels & Resorts is opening two new, fully renovated hotels in the Balkan country of Montenegro.
The Iberostar Herceg Novi is a seafront property, while the Iberostar Perast is housed in an 18th-century palace. Both hotels are located on the country’s stunning Bay of Kotor, part of the UNESCO World Heritage list since 1979.
The Iberostar Herceg Novi was the first of the properties to open on June 1. The hotel includes 183 rooms and is located in the city of Herceg Novi. The hotel has its own dock and a beach club offering breathtaking views of the bay. The hotel is positioned to be an ideal location for exploring the area’s history and its stunning natural landscapes, as well as enjoying numerous water sports.
Additional services and amenities include a modern spa and a Fit & Fun activity program. The hotel also features a buffet-style restaurant serving Mediterranean and local dishes.
The new five-star Iberostar Perast is a unique hotel housed in an 18th-century palace that’s been renovated in an avant-garde style while retaining the structure’s original architecture. The hotel is part of Iberostar Heritage, the chain’s historic hotel segment made up of unique hotels that combine art, history, culture and beauty.
Located in Perast, a small seafaring town in Montenegro, Iberostar Perast allows for exploring some of the finest examples of Baroque architecture in the Adriatic region, including magnificent palaces and churches whose beauty and secrets remain intact along the shores of Europe’s southernmost fjord.
The 100 room property is perched a mere 16 feet from the shoreline, offering a prime location combined with old world charm. The property is just seven miles away from Kotor’s historic quarter, 28 miles from Buvda Citadel, and two hours from the Dubrovnik city center.
