This summer the airline will introduce new dishes to the most beautiful holiday destinations on the Mediterranean and the Atlantic.
Condor presents its new meal concept for short- and medium-haul flights. The new products will be available on all flights from this month under the name “Taste the World”. These are also served on flights to the airline’s new destinations for this summer 2018, such as Sithia, Crete, Sylt or Venice. Together with partner Gate Gourmet, a total of ten new dishes have been introduced.
In order to taste the world, each dish relates to a different country. For example, when ordering the “Best of UK” meal, a customer receives a typical English breakfast, “Best of Italy” is a premium pasta or a delicious bolognese, and “Best of Sweden” has Köttbullar (minced meat balls) ready for the customer. Other meals include rice pudding, an Indian lentil curry, roast beef, schnitzel, a Thai curry, premium pasta or salad. The selection was made to meet the needs of vegetarian and vegan customers as well as those with lactose, gluten intolerances and diabetics. The dishes are accompanied by a beverage service and a sweet snack. From 7,99 Euro these can be booked in advance.
The current premium menu on the short- and medium-haul routes will offer a selection of individual gourmet dishes with significantly more content, produce less packaging waste and are of an even higher quality.
Right from the start, Condor’s catering team worked closely with the cabin crew and Gate Gourmet chefs to further improve the new meal concept. For example, the new packaging saves more space, shortening the service time that will benefit our customers and allowing more free space in the galley. Moreover, the meals are no longer individually packaged.
