KLM cancels 96 return flights due to westerly storm

Due to the westerly storm sweeping across the Netherlands today, KLM has been compelled to cancel a total of 96 return flights on 3 January. Passengers on these flights are currently being informed and rebooked.

klmRunway capacity is very limited at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol today. Passengers could, therefore, face delays during the day. 

Storm winds forced Dutch authorities to shut all sea barriers on major waterways on Wednesday. Some of the barriers had not been closed in more than 10 years.
