KLM cancels 52 return flights

Amsterdam Airport Schiphol is expected to restrict runway activity on Wednesday, 3 January, as a heavy storm has been forecast. As a precaution, KLM has therefore cancelled 52 European return flights on 3 January.

Passengers are currently being informed and rebooked. Travellers may also be faced with delays tomorrow.

The BBC is predicting winds of between 40mph and 50mph in South Holland between 1am and 3pm tomorrow (Wednesday January 3).
