Sincere, nothing-is-too-much-trouble, service that surprises and delights, chic interiors and extraordinary eating and drinking are just the start of the story. Add to that heart-stirring landscapes from Mediterranean Seas to the Indian Ocean and inspired guest experiences – LUX* resorts and hotels are in a world of their own.

May 2017 — LUX* Bodrum, Turkey

LUX* BODRUM is a spellbinding new addition to Turkey’s Aegean Riviera and the first LUX* resort in the Mediterranean region, set in pine-clad hills amid rugged coves and sparkling azure Aegean waters. From this summer season, 85-key hotel, 19 residences and 1 beach villa are open for this first time. This laid-back-but-luxe retreat invites discerning style-seeking guests to discover the intoxicating cocktail of beauty, culture and history that is the Bodrum Peninsula. Bright young jetsetters berth their yachts here all summer, and the vibrant nightlife lasts into the early hours. The marina is always lively with luxury shoppers, the barely populated beaches are beloved by supermodels, while the Aegean Sea is a playground for jet-skiers, waterskiers, parasailers and windsurfers. Beyond the bright lights, Bodrum has a quieter, more contemplative side, rich in health-enhancing fresh air and natural allure.

November 2017 — LUX* North Male Atoll, Maldives

This intimate luxury island is in an unexplored Maldivian atoll. Its approach to contemporary architecture is unique for the Indian Ocean and each residence is crowned with a terrace… Contemporary one-, two- and three-bedroom residences are spread across the island, set on the beach, steps from the sea, or perched on stilts above the lagoon. There are rooftop lounges, outdoor decks, private gardens and 13 m private pools. For the Overwater Residences, the reef itself is your playground – just pick up a snorkel and go explore the crystalline sea on your doorstep. With the three-floor penthouses, families and groups have ample space to spread themselves, as well as their own spa, steam room, fitness suite and oversized outdoor pool. You’ve never stayed anywhere like this before.

Dec 2017 — LUX* Grand Gaube, Mauritius

Just when you thought you knew what a holiday in Mauritius might be like, LUX* rejuvenates and reincarnates this beloved boutique resort which is as heaven-sent to honeymooners who like to mingle as those wanting to hide away.

Culinary appeal includes chefs working their magic in open kitchens at a Peruvian-Argentinian-Japanese restaurant, a Ceviche Bar, and a charcoal grill. Striking a rare balance of refinement and extravagance with comfort and cocooning, LUX* Grand Gaube is meticulously designed to frame its foliage- and flower-filled setting, with the five-star spa and wellness centre the perfect sanctuary to tune into nature. The generous grounds are landscaped with tiered gardens that cascade to an infinity pool that melts into the panoramic turquoise ocean views. There’s also a golf driving range, golf simulator, putting greens and access to the Mont Choisy Peter Matkovich-designed 18-hole course.

2018 — LUX* Sud Sauvage, Reunion Island

A short distance from La Fournaise, amid glorious gardens, these 82 private villas enjoy views of volcanic peaks, cirques and ramparts. Reunion Island National Park is a World Heritage Site – so it’s only been true adventurers to have discovered this far-flung corner of France so far. Elegant architecture blends with nature, inviting you to relax at the edge of your private pool, surrender to the expert hands of masseuses whether in your room or in the LUX* Me spa. Or take it up a gear and sign up for one of the many activities on offer from bike rides or hikes with experienced guides.

Just opened — LUX* South Ari Atoll, Maldives

Fresh from its relaunch, these cutting-edge designer villas and world-class dining only a 30-minute seaplane flight from Malé make this one of the most exciting resorts in the Maldives. Excellent eating and drinking is always a cut-above at LUX* and here in the South Ari Atoll, there is authentic South East Asian street food in the Maldives’ only over-the-water gourmet night market and world-class Chinese cuisine at East, and the Japanese restaurant, Umami, which includes live teppanyaki and dazzling selection of sakés.
