Pulkovo Meets First Flight by Saratov Airlines

On September 14 2016, Pulkovo Saint Petersburg Airport met the first flight performed by Saratov Airlines to the city after a 7-year break. The carrier will operate a thrice-weekly service on two routes: Saratov and Volgograd, using a 114-seater Embraer-190.

Prior to Saratov Airlines, flights from Pulkovo to Saratov were performed by Komiaviatrans; the Volgograd route had been unserved since February 2016.

Airlines is a Russian carrier headquartered in Saratov performing domestic and international flights. The fleet includes two Embraer-190 and eight Yak-42.

Pulkovo International Saint Petersburg Airport served 13.5 mil passengers in 2015, ranking fourth in Russia. The airport is operated by Northern Capital Gateway LLC. In 2015, Pulkovo won the Airport Council International ASQ award as Best Airport in Europe.
