Carlson Rezidor announces the Radisson Blu Hotel, Tipaza in Algeria. The new build upper-upscale property featuring 168 rooms will welcome the first guests in late 2017. It is Carlson Rezidor’s second project in Algeria (the group also develops the Radisson Blu Hotel, Algiers Hydra), and brings the group’s total portfolio in Africa to 66 hotels with 14,400+ rooms in operation and under development.
“Algeria is the largest country in Africa and one of the richest nations on the continent. It has seen considerable infrastructure and tourism investments over the past years, and we want to support Algeria’s economic and social developments as a strong international hospitality partner”, said Wolfgang M. Neumann, President & CEO of Rezidor at the African Hotel Investment Forum (AHIF) in Addis Ababa/Ethiopia.

Tipaza is located on the North-Eastern coast of Algeria. Only a 40min drive away from Algiers, it is a popular leisure destination and a famous UNESCO world heritage site with Phoenician, Roman and Byzantine ruins. The new Radisson Blu will be a stylish urban resort hotel. Besides 168 rooms and suites with Radisson Blu signature services such as free high-speed internet access, the property will comprise 2 restaurants, 2 cafeterias, 2 pools (1 indoor and 1 outdoor), a wellness area, and a kids club. Business guests will benefit from meeting & event facilities on 1,100sqm.
