  1. Thats great that J-Lo will be opening the casino, I can’t wait for it to open!

  2. Lopez is being used to give legitimacy to the Turkish ethnic cleansing of the former Greek majority of this area. The former owners were driven off or murdered by the Turkish Army. I wouldn’t be surprised if mass graves of murdered civilians are on the grounds of the Cratos Premium Hotel. Jennifer Lopez needs to be educated on the crimes committed against the true owners of this property.

  3. Viva Jennifer Lopez.

We, Russian Tourists, are looking forward to see you in Cratos, North Cyprus.

  4. i dont see why GREEKS are leaving these silly comments on these websites and also creating wesbites on this big issue! so what jennie is coming to the BLOCK all becuase it is North Cyprus and not the SOUTH dont meen its a CRIME! you just need to get over the fact about the war because greeks raped Turkish women etc and murdred …a war is a war people die!

Im glad she is coming! i have my tickets :D

  5. Only murderous people in the island were the Greek Cypriots, killed many innocent civilians and murdered children whom were machine gunned in the bath tubs, were laying in a pool of blood, Turks has right to protects their citizens, and island do not belong to Greeks in first place,
as much as Greeks backs the Greek side Turks has right to back the Turkish side
Turks will never surrender he island to the hands of the Genocidal Greeks, so it is better you stay in your side Turks stay in theirs and stop crying and spreading lies

  6. Turks should take the whole island, it is their island , not Greeks ,Greeks has enough Islands
and l remember Greeks killing Turkish women and children before Turks invaded , Greeks were under military rule and tried to kill every Turk on the island before Turkish army stopped it

so get over it Greeks we Russians love Turkey, they have the best beaches and best hotels and very friendly people,

  7. I am writing to you to express my deep sadness and dissatisfaction on how the Turkish Cypriots have been sucked into this dirty Greek properganda war. The fact that a continued injustice is being applied to Turkish Cypriots, both at home and abroad, on every level – political, economic and therefore in social terms also. By way of (brief!) background, you may or may not be aware that this abuse of basic Turkish Cypriot Human Rights started less than 3 years after Cyprus achieved its independence in 1960 when their Greek Cypriot compatriots ceased to recognise the power sharing terms agreed between the two communities (and Greece, Turkey and the UK, who acted as the island’s ‘guarantors’). Countless and relentless abuses of Turkish Cypriot rights continued for over 10 years (despite a UN presence since 1964) reaching a stage whereby many Turkish Cypriots felt the need to flee the island, never to return, whilst the remaining 18% of the population had taken refuge from Greek Cypriot attacks on 3% of the island’s area . Events on the island culminated with a Greek Cypriot coup aimed at uniting Cyprus with Greece in 1974, forcing Turkey into the position of intervening under its powers of guarantee to safeguard the Turkish Cypriot minority. Without raking over the details of the long and sorry history between the two communities, the ‘political stalemate’ on the island means that Turkish Cypriot people continue to be held under the embargo of the Greek Cypriots. Their right to freely trade, travel, communicate and, in general, to deal and integrate with the rest of the world has been denied to them by the Greek Cypriot authorities. On this point it is important to note that the internationally recognised ‘Republic of Cyprus’ does not speak for or represent the interests of Turkish Cypriots. Enforcing the silence of Turkish Cypriots by failing to accept their freely and democratically elected representatives serves only to compound their plight further. In practical terms the Turkish Cypriot people have been turned into the hostages of the Greek Cypriots. Turkish Cypriots are forbidden to export their goods direct from Northern Cyprus. A proposed EU Commission Regulation for this purpose is currently blocked by the Greek Cypriot authorities. Nor is there direct access by flight from the UK to Northern Cyprus – another obstacle to undermine the development of North Cyprus and its tourism industry. Currently, airlines have to fly to and from North Cyprus via Turkish airports at very considerable additional costs. The most ‘recent’ development for Turkish Cypriots was in April 2004 when they had the opportunity to voice their support for the UN Annan Plan to unify Cyprus, which was put together after lengthy and detailed discussion of, and considerable compromise on, all aspects of the Cyprus issue following a process agreed by all parties. It’s rejection by 76% of the Greek Cypriot community unfortunately demonstrated their unwillingness to compromise and embrace a settlement. However, 65% of Turkish Cypriots voted in favour of the Plan, even though this would have resulted in considerable risks and sacrifices on their part. Whilst the international community, including the European Union (EU), the United States of America and the UN, pledged to reward the Turkish Cypriots’ brave and positive vote by ending their isolation, Turkish Cypriots are still waiting for the world to make good on these promises. To date, not one single embargo has been lifted, leaving the Turkish Cypriots still suffering as second-class citizens in their own country. They are still unable to trade, travel or communicate directly with the rest of the world, nor can they represent themselves socially and politically

  8. The genocidal Turks will never get their way. Already J-LO has cancelled…why would anyone want to perform in an illegally occupied land? And to those who wanted to attend: you will never get your tickets back from the lying murdering Turks. You should be ashamed…

  9. We must not forget that Turkey violently invaded Cyprus in 1974 nd this alone is a crime. The violent occupation of a part of a country is condemned by international human rights. Victims have been from both sides, Greek Cypriots and Turkish Cypriots.

How do you explain the fact that until today no nation has recognised the pseudo government of North Cyprus? Do you think that Greeks are so powerful as to influence all the world that an injustice has been committed against Cyprus? The entire world saw the violent attack and invasion of a strong country against a small island with thousands of years’ Greek history. Every part of Cyprus is full of Greek archaeological finds and beautifully built and decorated Byzantine churches, all plundered and destroyed.

Jennifer Lopez, knew very little about this and accepted to attend the inauguration of the Cratos Premium Hotel (A very Greek name used too!) and when she was informed of the situation in Cyprus cancelled her visit. No free person can be bribed to attend any event if this involves injustice against humanity. Invasion is illegal and brought chaos and disaster to many Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot families.

Both communities are peaceful and can live together. Political and Financial interests brought destruction, sorrow, death, 1612 Greek Cypriots still missing because of the invasion.
The land on which the hotel is built, belongs to Greek Cypriots who fled the area to save themselves and their families from the brutality war brings. This land is violently taken by the invaders, who try to become rich using land that does not belong to them. This is the reason, Jennifer Lopez cancelled her visit. The millions of money she was offered to appear and sing at the inauguration of Cratos Hotel were not able to buy CONSCIENCE , JUSTICE and APPROVAL OF MILITARY INVASIONS .

  10. i would like to say a few words to Olga. From what I guess , after reading her comment above, this is a very young lady, who knows nothing about history, civilization, culture, war. She only knows about holidays, having fun and lie in the sun in any place in the world, where she is looked upon as a russian beauty and nothing more. Luckily, I have met and taught English to many young russian girls who came from educated families and had a sound knowledge of history, culture and education. They did not belong to your category Olga. You are a very young uneducated girl, and this can be seen clearly through your writing.
