Two thousand miles across Lake Baikal on bicycles

From Irkutsk (Russia) launched a unique expedition, entitled “Around Baikal on bicycles”. ScreenHunter_19 Mar. 03 00.53

The expedition plans to bypass the lake in 43 days: during this time the expedition’s participants will drive by the Baikal ice more than 2000 km and record 50 hours of video for future movie about the Baikal. In the expedition involved athletes of the United States and Venezuela.

The expedition will go around Baikal Lake counterclockwise, day time the team plans to overcome about 55 miles across the frozen lake, and most of nights to spend in tents on the ice.

In early April, when expedition will be finished, the team plans to return to Irkutsk (Russia).
